Three looks with BH Cosmetics X Tina Yong palette
Updated: Sep 20, 2019

My favorite makeup guru, Tina Yong, has a new palette, Run Wild, with BH Cosmetics and I have came out with three very different looks with this palette.
In this post, I will share with you my final thoughts about this palette, some tips and tricks you should take note off when applying eye-shadow, especially for bright colors. And if you should buy this palette for yourself.

FIRST LOOK:
NEUTRAL WORK MAKEUP
Makeup Deets:
Eye Shadow: BH cosmetics Run wild palette
Eye Brow: Anastasia Beverly Hill - Eye Definer Soft Brown
Eyeliner: Kate liquid & crayon liner in Brown
Mascara: HB Mascara by Browhaus
Foundation: Makeup Forever (Y235)
Contour: BH cosmetics Run wild palette
Blush: BH cosmetics Run wild palette
Lip balm: Dior
Lips: 3CE Matte lipstick in Muse

Tips
For a natural blush, go over your blusher with your beauty blender/ foundation brush.
I always go over my blusher with my beauty blender for a more natural look. Especially when this blusher is so pigmented.

SECOND LOOK:
KOREAN STYLE NANDA GIRLY MAKEUP
Makeup Deets:
Eye Shadow: BH cosmetics Run wild palette
Eye Brow: Anastasia Beverly Hill - Eye Definer Soft Brown
Eyeliner: Kate liquid & crayon liner in Brown
Mascara: HB Mascara by Browhaus
Foundation: Makeup Forever (Y235)
Contour: BH cosmetics Run wild palette
Blush: BH cosmetics Run wild palette
Lip balm: Dior
Lips: Too Faced Melted in Melted Ruby

Tips
To prevent your crayon liner from smudging, set it with your eyeshadow.
In this case, I used Lady Boss to set my brown crayon liner and this also creates more dimension to my eyes.
Blend your eyeshadow base till where your eyeball ends.
For neutral and light colours like orange, yellow, pink, blend your eyeshadow base colour until where your eyeball ends.
Do not forget about your under-eyes
Always remember to complete your eye look by applying the same colours to your under-eyes.
Key to eyeshadow: Blending
Just keep blending. With a clean brush, of course.

THIRD LOOK:
JAPANESE HARAJUKU MAKEUP

Eye Shadow: BH cosmetics Run wild palette
Eye Brow: Anastasia Beverly Hill - Eye Definer Soft Brown
Eyeliner: Kate liquid eyeliner in black
Crayon eyeliner: Urban Decay 24hour liner
Mascara: HB Mascara by Browhaus
Foundation: Makeup Forever (Y235)
Highlight: Cover FX in celestial
Contour: BH cosmetics Run wild palette
Blush: Benefit Posie tint
Lip balm: Dior
Lips: 3CE Style Nanda Gone Bad

Tips
For bright colours, start off with a small brush.
This is to ensure that you can control the amount of products you apply on your lid. Stop just slightly above your crease line.
Darker brows for brighter eyes.
Apply a darker brow colour if your have bold or bright eyeshadow. This would balance out your overall makeup look.
Black Liner for bold colours
I usually use a brown crayon liner to line my waterline. However, with this purple eyes, a black eyeliner would definitely define my eyes more.
Apply your eyeshadow before your foundation.
In case of fall outs, or to achieve a cleaner look, always apply your eyeshadow first before your foundation. This would allow you to remove all the fall outs below your eyes and have a clean base to apply your foundation/concealer on.

Should you buy it?
Honestly, if you love to play with colors, YES! I have no regrets buying it.
The colors turned out really nice together and here are my thoughts.
Final thoughts:
Pros:
- The colors are amazing and so easy to match with each other.
- Easy to blend
- No doubt pigmented.
- Convenient with blusher, highlighter & bronzer
Cons:
- Fall out is horrible
- No light matt colour for brow bone (although you can use the highlighter, but not to my preference)
- Too pigmented as a blusher or bronzer and more time is needed to blend these products.
Price: USD$24 (SGD$33)
Shipping: USD$8 (SGD$11)
Total: SGD$ 44
It is not out in Singapore yet, hence I got it here.
